Science News magazine has named Feng Zhang, a 2000 graduate of Roosevelt High School who also attended Central Academy, as one of the world’s top 10 up and coming scientists. Zhang, who attended Harvard and Stanford and currently holds appointments at MIT and Harvard, was selected by a panel of 30 Nobel Prize winners for his groundbreaking research on brain ailments. Ten Riders are among the 14 high school seniors chosen as Semifinalists in the 61st annual National Merit Scholarship competition, placing them among the top young scholars in the state and nation.
