Between May 20-24, Des Moines Public Schools celebrated the Class of 2015 at eight commencement ceremonies, proud to present diplomas to students from all of our high schools. DMPS is pleased to share photographs – 513 photos, to be exact – from all eight of our graduation events, including Roosevelt High School. The Polk County Bar Association gives students a chance to get creative with the law as part of the annual Law Day celebration. Chief among the activities is the visual arts, music, essay and poetry competition for students in grades 6 through 12 in Polk County. Roosevelt students took 1st and 3rd place in the visual arts category.
Roosevelt senior Nora Trampe won the Congressional Art Competition in the 3rd Congressional District of Iowa. The Congressional Art Competition, “An Artistic Discovery,” is open to high school students nationwide.
Roosevelt family across the country have a new opportunity to be a part of the Roosevelt graduation ceremony. The graduation ceremony will be streamed live online.

Summer Registration! The DMPS is developing a new registration process. It is still in the formation stages and will roll out sometime in July. We have been informed that there will be no registration for the 2015-16 school year until later in July. As DMPS works the entire process to completion, we will be molding Roosevelt registration to fit the new model. When the new procedure is complete, we will share with our families!

For the third year in a row, all five DMPS high schools are listed among the state’s top 50 high schools on the Iowa Advanced Placement Index.
